A look ahead for October

Demolition Activity 
> Removal of projector room to side of Ball Room 
> Demolition of remaining parts of the Old Laundry Building 
> Minor demolition of below ground ducts to the side of Penrose Building
> Crushing of demolition arisings in compound area 

 Road Construction and Groundwork Activity 
> Ongoing road construction of Springfield Drive including kerbs and tarmac 
> Residential plot preparation including removal of topsoil and hard standings
> New hoarding installation to residential plots 

 Construction Activity 
> General hoarding adjacent to Forensic and Non-Forensic. Commencement of hoarding to the former golf course. Public access will be progressively restricted as hoardings are erected.
> Commencement of tree removal and protection to former golf course
> Commencement of topsoil removal and earth works to former golf course for future public park
> Tarmac to Springfield Drive and temporary access roads. 
> Construction access road off Burntwood Lane will come into use progressively through October. This will ease traffic congestion into the hospital via existing Burntwood Lane access road.
> Electrical Substation 2 and 3 fitout 
> Electrical Substation 3 access road construction
