A look ahead for February 2021
Hospital Buildings (delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)
• Ongoing construction of concrete frame work to Forensic Hospital Building
• Ongoing façade installation to Non-Forensic building
• Fitout and masonry works are ongoing to Non-Forensic building
• Ongoing construction and structural work to Energy Centre
Civil and Infrastructure (delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)
• Limited works in the park due to ground being too wet. Due to start again mid March 2021.
• Ongoing works to Road 1 located east of Storey Building. Works scheduled for 6 months and traffic management setup to divert traffic to the east of Elizabeth Newton Building.
• Ongoing works to Road 2 - Storey carpark access road. Access to carpark will be closed. Road construction will commence outside the Mayfield nursery and Mayfield gymnastics buildings this month, but uninterrupted access will be maintained for both parties.
• Ongoing works to Road 3 - adjacent to the new Care Home (Plot H).
Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)
Temporary office set up to L-M & parcel E
Commence install of temporary electric & water along with security provisions
Commence installation of drop curb to access parcel L&M
Commence enabling works, pile mat and piling to L,M,B1 & B2
Trades commencing on site will include: temp power/water, groundworkers, piling contractors and security
Commence enabling works and hard landscaping for marketing suite located in parcel M
Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)
Continue the demolition of single storey buildings to the rear of the Main Building
Works to the Sales Areas continues, with plastering to be undertaken in the two apartments within this area
Structural alterations have expanded into the area of the Central East Wing and continue in Jasmine Tower
Externally the stone, brick and roof repairs will continue and scaffolding has been extended further to allow these works to commence on further elevations
The clock mechanism on the front elevation of the Central tower has been removed for restoration
Whilst the workings are away from site, the clock face itself will be repaired and the numerals repainted
Externally, works to the existing trees has been concluded to the eastern side of the building.
