A look ahead for June 2021

Hospital Buildings (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • Ongoing façade installation to Forensic and Non-Forensic buildings

  • Fitout and masonry works to Forensic and Non-Forensic buildings

  • Ongoing mechanical plant installation to Non-Forensic and Forensic buildings

Civil and Infrastructure (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • Park works progressing with earthwork movement and drainage. The construction of the ponds will commence. Bowser being used to ensure dust is kept to a minimum.

  • Ongoing works to Road 1 located east of Storey Building. Road 1 upper opened and Road 1 lower will become closed for public use. Works scheduled for 6 months and traffic management setup to divert traffic to the east of Elizabeth Newton.

  • Ongoing works to Road 2 - Storey carpark access road. Access to carpark will be closed. Road construction progressing outside the nursery, gym and both new hospital buildings, but uninterrupted access will be maintained for both parties through Share Garden. The capping to south of Storey will commence this month.

  • Works to road 3 from Burntwood Lane – gas and water will commence from Burntwood Lane entrance towards Ronald Gibson House this month. A traffic management plan will be temporarily set up at the beginning of these works.

Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)

  • Complete sub structure works B1, B2, C1 & M

  • Commence super structure works to B1, B2 & M. Complete up to 1st floor by end of June

  • Continue foundations and sub structure brickwork to C2 & L

  • Site compound set up to be operational to parcel D1 from June 1st

Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)

  • Sales Suite opening early June in the main entrance area, occupying the entrance hall and two apartments

  • Internal structural alterations will be progressing in Primrose and Rose Towers and to the links between towers

  • Externally the stone, brick and roof repairs continue and with scaffold to the Central Tower now removed, the focus continues on the remaining elevations

  • Internally, plastering will commence in the new apartments in the upper floors of Central Tower, with partitions being erected in Jasmine Tower

  • Investigations will continue in Orchid Wing and areas to the rear of Central Tower to assist with design works for this next stage of construction

New care home facility - Plot H (delivered by Lawrence Baker)

  • Erection of tower crane

  • Building the foundations up out of the ground

  • Foundation and drainage works continue

  • First floor slabs to be installed early June 2021

  • Scaffolding installation to commence
