A look ahead for March 2022
Hospital Buildings (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)
Trinity (Non-Forensic) building’s façade is now complete. The Shaftesbury (Forensic) façade is ongoing but near completion.
There are ongoing fitout works to Shaftesbury and Trinity hospital buildings.
Mechanical and Electrical works ongoing to both Shaftesbury and Trinity buildings.
All scaffolding has now been struck on the Trinity building. Shaftesbury south and east elevation still erected.
Civil and Infrastructure (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)
Park works progressing with earthwork movements to complete subsoil and topsoil profiling works in the final areas for phase 1. Works to enable footpath construction to the Southern boundary to tie into the existing footpath in the existing car park in St Georges Grove are ongoing.
Tree planting resumes in the park area.
Construction is progressing outside Mayfield Nursery and Gymnastics Club and both new hospital buildings, but uninterrupted access will be maintained for both parties through Share Garden.
Works to progress hard landscaping progressing on Springfield Drive is ongoing.
Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)
Plots M/L
Scaffold striking (progressive removal) continues to Block M as external landscaping commences
Block L is now at roof level and scaffold will begin to come down within the next few weeks to the northern elevation
Internal works have commenced to both areas with Block M now closing up its 1st units prior second fix works
Both Blocks are due for completion by July 2022
Plots E1/E2
Superstructures continue from ground floors moving up to first floor
Plots B1/B2
Roof levels achieved and scaffold strikes (progressive removal) have begun
Hard landscaping works will be commencing, starting at B1 area first.
Internal works have commenced and are currently at 1st fix stage
Plots C1/C2
Superstructure works to continue with the last big push to reach roof level to the apartment blocks
Houses to each parcel will be complete to roof over the next few weeks
Internal works to C1 will commence
Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)
Externally roofing works ongoing to Lupin.
Scaffold has been removed from Jasmine Tower, allowing work to commence on external paving to these areas.
Masonry repairs, cleaning and rebuilding to continue on garden and boundary walls.
Internally, 2nd fixing and decorations to communal areas in the Jasmine link, Lupin Tower and Lupin link.
Snagging works ongoing to Jasmine and Central Towers.
Commissioning works to continue to initial areas – Central and Jasmine Towers.
External service distributions to continue to both Phases 1 and 2.
Substation transformers to be installed.
Phase 2 drainage works will continue.
Phase 2 asbestos removal and soft stripping to continue.
Phase 2 structural alterations to commence.
Phase 2 at The 1840 is planned to launch in March 2022.
New care home facility - Plot H (delivered by Lawrence Baker)
Continue with the roof coverings across the building.
Commence installing rainwater goods.
Commence installing windows and feature panels ( due to commence 7th March)
Commence plaster boarding.
Internally: Continue with M&E works including first fix AC and ventilation extraction for the kitchen and laundry areas.
We also aim to position all required plant equipment onto the central roof area
Towards the middle of the month, we aim to commence lowering the scaffold to allow first floor windows to be installed.
