A look ahead for October 2023

Hospital Buildings (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • The Shaftesbury building was handed over to the client on Friday the 29th of September. 

Civil and Infrastructure (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • The park (area B) is open.

  • Public access is opened on Springfield Drive and Chapel Square.  Car parks in the new hospitals are open.

  • Plot A – SRM’s new welfare is now up and running and will be located here until the end of the year.

  • The entrance to Burntwood Lane is closed and vehicle access is provided further north on Burntwood Lane.  Pedestrian access is now available along the north of the opened park. The new road construction and remedials are completed.  We are waiting on sign off from Wandsworth Council and will have the entrance opened in October 2023. 

  • Pathways are progressing in Park area A.  The belvedere drainage blanket is completed.  Soft landscaping is progressing.

  • Ronald Gibson House plot remediation is completed to allow this plot to be handed over to the plot developer.

  • Ruskin lane works are completed, which will allow the G1 bus to return to Springfield Village in October, once the entrance to Burntwood Lane is open.

  • Plots P & Q are ready to be handed over to the plot developer.

  • Harewood House demolition is progressing.  Demolition will progress until early November 2023.

  • Park C muck shift works progressing and the attenuation pond is completed, with the liner and headwall installation.  Pathways and soft landscaping are progressing.  Amphitheatre seating to commence next month.

  • Road 4; Lapidge Drive is completed and open, to allow the next section of roads to commence.  Access is maintained to Shaftesbury, Phoenix and Morrison Buildings.

Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)

  • Blocks L, M, B1, C2a, B2a, C1a are fully occupied

  • Blocks B2, C1 handed over to PA Housing, occupations ongoing

  • Blocks C2 handovers completing, occupations

  • Occupations ongoing to E1a, E1c and E1b

  • Service install ongoing to E2 parcel blocks, Power on due w/c 2/10/23

  • Hard landscaping to E2 parcel blocks, Footpath to the front of E2Anow open, rear patios ongoing  

  • Block D1B brickwork to commence w/c 2/10/23

  • D1a Brickwork to commence 9/10/23

  • Block D1C and D2B reduced dig to commence

  • D2c internal fit out started

  • Phase 2 Cabin install complete, hard landscaping and fit out to commence

Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)

Phase 1

  • Legal completions.

  • 60 0ccupations, further occupations planned over the coming weeks.

  • Completed on 62no plots to date.

Phase 2

  • Structural alteration works ongoing to the Engineering Block and Boiler House.

  • Scaffold erection and adaptions.

  • Structural alterations and repairs.

  • Roofing works.

  • Re-Facing of brickwork elevations.

  • Masonry repairs and cleaning.

  • Window refurbishment

  • Internal fit out ongoing to Kitchen Block’ area.

  • Hard and soft landscaping

  • Test and commissioning to the advanced Kitchen Block units.

  • Finals and Inspections to the advanced Kitchen Block apartments

  • Handovers and completions to the first units within kitchen block
