A look ahead for February 2024

Hospital Buildings (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • Both Hospital Buildings are open for use.

Civil and Infrastructure (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • The park (area B) is open.

  • Public access is opened on Springfield Drive and Chapel Square.  Car parks in the new hospitals are open.

  • The entrance to Burntwood Lane is OPEN for both vehicle and pedestrian access.

  • The pavilion works in Park A is progressing with fit out works, MEP and façade.  Drainage diversion works are completed and the Belvedere construction along with pathways will be completed at the end of February/early March 2024.  Soft landscaping has recommenced with tree and plant installation.  5-11 play equipment will commence this month.

  • Ruskin lane and Bicknell Way works are completed, which allows the G1 bus to return to Springfield Village.

  • Harewood House demolition is completed.  Further remedial works are being completed to allow handover to the House Developer this month.

  • Park C works is progressing with finishing off the soft landscaping around the amphitheatre seating area and pathways.

  • District heating works down to X,Y,Z plot will progress.

  • Road 4; Lapidge Drive is completed and open for access for C&C residents.  The final section of road will be completed this month.

  • The last substation within the development is progressing outside Phoenix Building.

Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)

  • D2C Occupations started in December 23, ongoing though February 24

  • All PA Housing units now fully handed over including 5 full mobility units, end of year defects have now started

  • E1 parcel now fully occupied or sold

  • E2 parcel services are now all live

  • E2 internal fit progressing, currently being 2nd fixed and flooring

  • E2 Court yard 80% complete, works to the front of E2C has commenced

  • New Phase 2 welfare/site office now occupied

  • D1A brick and blockwork at mis way on level 1 2nd floor concrete floors due W/C 19/2/24

  • D1B, low section is at roof level, roof to high level expected early March

  • D1C 1st floor joist expected to commence W/C 5/2/24

  • D2B ground floor block and blockwork in progress

  • D2A ground floor brick and blockwork in progress

  • D parcel road base cause is complete

Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)

  • Masonry repairs and cleaning.

  • Window refurbishment

  • Steelwork and floor construction to Engineering tower.

  • Internal fit out ongoing to Kitchen Block’ area.
