A look ahead for August

Demolition Activity 
> Asbestos removal and demolition to the Old Laundry Building and below ground ducts.

 > Removal of the last section of concrete slab to the Old Generator Building neighbouring the Nursery. Due to proximity to Nursery demolition works are to be undertaken on Saturday, 10th August within normal working hours. This will likely be noisy activity due to the equipment required to be used to break the slab.

 > Crushing of demolition arising to potentially resume last August. To be undertaken in Site Compound Area (west end of site along Burntwood Lane)

> Removal of demolition arising stockpiles around site to the Site Compound Area in preparation of crushing.

 Road Construction and Groundwork Activity 
> Ongoing road construction to Springfield Drive from Glenburnie Rd to Burntwood Lane. This includes installation of both drainage and services.

 > Removal of spoil heaps north of Springfield Drive to be relocated to the former golf course.

 > Installation of services to the new sub-stations. 

 > Topsoil strip in various locations around site. 

 Construction Activity 
> Ongoing works to the two new substations. 

 > Hoarding to be constructed around new temporary construction entrance off Burntwood Lane.
