Change to Construction Working Hours

In line with the recent government guidance: modification of planning conditions relating to construction working hours due to the effects of COVID, contractor Sir Robert McAlpine will be working an additional hour per weekday (sanctioned by Wandsworth Council) on the Springfield University Hospital project to support the delivery of much needed new mental health facilities. Previous permitted working hours were 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday. The new working hours will be 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday with no change to Saturday working hours. This will be in effect till 31st January 2021.

SRM understands the key nuisance to neighbours is construction noise. To minimise impact, work over the additional hour will be limited to minimise noise impact where possible. This will include the restriction of non-essential plant and noisy activities.
