A look ahead for November 2020

Hospital Buildings (delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • Ongoing construction of concrete frame work to Forensic and Non-Forensic Hospital Buildings

  • Ongoing façade installation to Non-Forensic building

  • Fitout and masonry works are ongoing to Non-Forensic building

  • Ongoing construction and structural work to Energy Centre

Civil and Infrastructure (delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)

  • Completion of Road 4 construction and due to reopen week commencing 2nd November. Access will be restored to Car Park B from Burntwood Lane

  • Ongoing earthworks to Park Area B and C (old golf course)

  • Outfall drainage installation ongoing in park area

  • Ongoing water main installation to the Elizabeth Newton Building from the new water main in Springfield Drive

  • Commencement of Road 1 construction to the east of Storey Building. Works scheduled for 6 months and traffic management setup to divert traffic to the east of Elizabeth Newton

  • Ongoing works to Road 2 - Storey carpark access road. Access to carpark will be closed

  • Ongoing works to Road 3 - adjacent to the new Care Home (Plot H)

Conversion of listed Main Building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)

With soft stripping concluded to the wing to the east of the Central Tower, scaffolding has been extended to now include the front elevation of that wing.

Specialist brick cleaning has commenced to the front elevation of the Central Tower, which is due to be completed during the next 4 week period and is a precursor to the next stage of more invasive brickwork repairs.

In addition, the roof areas to this tower will be stripped and temporarily recovered to allow further repairs above the sales area.

The main focus will be on completing infrastructure works (drainage and service routes) relating to the sales suite, which is due to  commence Monday 9th November and setting partitions to divide up the ground floor in order to define the sales area.

At the same time, structural alterations are to commence in Jasmine Tower and will follow a sequence to work back towards the Central Tower.

Next phase of new build residential – Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)

Construction work on the residential units in these plots is due to commence in the new year.
