Hospital Buildings (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)
Ongoing façade installation to Forensic and Non-Forensic buildings
Fitout and masonry works are ongoing to Forensic and Non-Forensic buildings
Ongoing mechanical plant installation to roof of Non-Forensic and Forensic building
Tower Crane No.2 (located between the two hospital buildings) to be dismantled and remove on May 7-9th.
Civil and Infrastructure (Delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine)
Park works progressing with earthwork movement and drainage. The construction of the ponds will commence. Bowser being used to ensure dust is kept to a minimum.
Ongoing works to Road 1 located east of Storey Building. Road 1 upper opened in April and Road 1 lower will become closed for public use. Works scheduled for 6 months and traffic management setup to divert traffic to the east of Elizabeth Newton.
Ongoing works to Road 2 - Storey carpark access road. Access to carpark will be closed. Road construction progressing outside the nursery and gym buildings, but uninterrupted access will be maintained for both parties through Shared Gardens. The capping to south of Storey will commence this month.
Works to road 3 down to Burntwood Lane – gas and water will commence from outside RGH down towards Burntwood lane entrance this month. A traffic management plan will be temporarily set up at the beginning of these works.
Next phase of new build residential - Plots B-E and L&M (delivered by Barratt London)
Sales area now live and team based on site
L&M:
Ground beam and foundation works continue
New boundary line being set to facilitate build of both blocks
Sheet piling works to Block L this week
Ground floor slab installation to Block M
Superstructure works commence to Block M in the next month
B – E
Ground beam and foundation works to B1, B2, C1 & C2
Piling works complete
Main compound and project office set up to parcel D1
Installation of new northern boundary fence line where possible
Commencement of all brick and block deliveries
Commencement of superstructure works to B1 & B
Conversion of listed main building to residential - Plot S (delivered by City & Country)
Sales Area decorations to be completed and soft furnishings installed in preparation for the Sales launch.
Internal structural alterations to be completed in Jasmine, Lupin and Rose Towers with further works progressing in Primrose Tower and to the links between towers.
Externally the stone, brick and roof repairs continue and with scaffold to the Central Tower now removed, the focus moves onto the remaining elevations.
Hard and soft landscaping to the front lawn area will be completed mid May with the turfing of the lawn, tarmaccing of the access drive and erection of new hoarding to shield the remaining work area.
Internally, new walls will continue to be erected to define the new apartments and the varied trades will progress with the creation of units in the upper floors of Central Tower and Jasmine Tower.
Investigations will continue in Orchid Wing and areas to the rear of Central Tower to assist with design works for this next stage of construction.
